Notes:
Esther Cook married at age 26. She and her husband, Luther Markham, lived in Worcester with the rest of the Cook family during the early years of their marriage. By 1867, the Markham family had moved to Wilbraham, Hampden County, Massachusetts. Luther and Esther both died in Wilbraham and were returned to Worcester, Otsego Co., New York, for burial in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Luther's obituary describes in glowing terms, "His kindness of heart, his business integrity, his neighborly spirit and his sincere Christian worth won for him the confidence of all who knew him."
